Current DSers discuss “transitions” for the Yale Historical Review
Sunday, February 14, 2021

On Sunday, Feb 14, ten current DSers gathered on zoom for a discussion moderated by editors from the Yale Historical Review. The main purpose of the conversation was to discuss their experience as Directed Studies students in a year like no other, with particular focus on the idea of transitions: life transitions such as starting college, as well as transitions from one intellectual epoch to the next that they were discussing in their DS classes. The conversation was spirited, engaging, and left everyone wanting more! Look out for the YHR’s forthcoming special issue commemorating Directed Studies that will feature a transcript of the conversation.
