The Humanities Program launched three new initiatives for Directed Studies and the Humanities major. The “Living Texts” series gives students and faculty opportunities to hear about ways in which texts from the DS syllabi are being re-imagined and re-worked today by writers, scholars, artists, and performers.
Our first “Living Text” event subsidized tickets for 44 DS students and 11 faculty to see the Yale Drama School’s production of Aeshylus’s Oresteia in December, and two more events are scheduled for this spring.
