The Problem of Evil: Dualism in the Zoroastrian Tradition

Directed Studies invited Okto Skjaervo (Professor Emeritus, of Iranian Studies in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University) for a discussion of Zoroastrianism and of how different religions resolve the Problem of Evil. Drawing examples and discussing excerpts from ancient tales by the Zoroastrian and Manecheist traditions, the lecture was be a mind-opening complement to St. Augustine’s discussion on evil.
