Event description:

On an afternoon in early March, Professor Mick Hunter from Yale’s Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures engaged DS students and faculty with a lecture about ancient Chinese poetry and philosophy. Professor Hunter discussed the centrality of the Shijing (translated as the “Classic of Poetry”) in the Chinese philosophical traditions, and students had an opportunity to learn more about the differences with as well as overlap with, the Western philosophical tradition reflected in DS readings.
