Robert Shiller, a Sterling Professor of Economics at Yale University and a fellow at the Yale School of Management’s International Center for Finance, is an economist, academic, and best-selling author. Professor Shiller, Nobel laureate in economics, cited Directed Studies as a positive example of “consilience” – an effort to reach past disciplinary divides to pursue the unity of knowledge.
