Event description:
The final colloquium event of Fall 2023 featured three panelists: Ardis Butterfield (English, Comparative Literature, Yale), Verónica da Rosa Guimarães (Medieval Studies, CUNY), and Giulia Accornero (Music, Yale). They took turns discussing how traditions of music and poetry traveled from Middle and Near Eastern cultures to help shape European literature, philosophy, and song. The conversation was moderated by Katja Lindskog (Humanities, English, Yale).
