Event description:

On Wednesday, March 4, the DS Translation Initiative run by current DS students Antonio Cilibrizzi and Esther Reichek invited Dr. Lauren Pinzka (Department of French, Yale) for pizza and a discussion of Flaubert and his novel Madame Bovary. Dr. Pinzka  talked about the savage realism of Flaubert’s prose in its original French and students had a chance to explore the nuances of Madame Bovary as it was originally written and read. Thank you to Antonio, Esther, and Dr. Pinzka for a wonderful first event! Next up: Kafka…
